Sewing in the Hotel

I didn't totally slack off while we were in Colorado Springs.  I brought my little Bernina along and worked on a quilt top for the Catholic Outreach apartments.  My friend Michelle and I had put together all of our five inch squares (charm packs) for a total of 255, so I worked on putting the top together there, while she pieced and pressed the backing fabric here.

You can sort of see the beautiful view from my temporary sewing room window!

The top is done, the backing ready and the batting purchased.  Some of the ladies from church will be tying this quilt on Make a Difference Day in October.  Hopefully it will keep someone warm and snuggly for years to come.
