Swirl Hook

Here is my completed "Best of Both Worlds" quilt!  I tried out the all-over "Swirl Hook" design that I learned from an Angela Walters You Tube video (see yesterday's post).

I thought it was a little difficult to get the hang of at first but once I got into the "flow" of the design, it was fairly easy and I really like the way it looks - a little more interesting than a simple meander.

Below are some close up photos so you can see better.  Keep in mind this was my first try!










I used the soft Legacy (I think that is what it's called!) fabric on the back and you can really see the stitching in this photo below.  You can tell I need to practice, but I liked it so I will use this design again!
Another of my favorite tutorials on You Tube by Angela Walters is the Feather Meander Tutorial.  I think I will have to try this one next!
