Embroidery at the Library

I forgot to mention yesterday that a couple of the gals in the Embroidery Guild did an embroidery activity with children in the children's center and apparently that was a LOT of fun :)

Can you believe this piece is all made with teeny tiny French Knots using one strand of embroidery floss??

Cecelia makes miniature bears.  When she showed them to me, I thought she just dressed and decorated the bears but no - she makes the bears.  These little tiny critters are adorable!  She will be teaching a class on how to make them about a year from now in the Embroidery Guild.  (It's amazing how far in advance you have to book speakers and teachers!)

The beadwork table was totally foreign to me, but was filled with beautiful beaded items.

The jacket above is embellished with Brazilian Embroidery.

Here is information if you're interested in visiting or joining the Embroidery Guild!
