EGA Show and Tell

There are always great Show and Tell pieces at the Embroidery Guild.

This small piece (about six inches square) is made entirely of French knots with a single strand of embroidery floss!  Amazing...

This is an interesting piece where the stitcher chose a different stitch and a different color for temperatures in Grand Junction in the 100's, 90's, 80's etc. She averaged each weekly temperature for one year and stitched it in for that week. You can see in the piece on the left that we had more warm days that cool or cold days in GJ during 2017.  2018 is shaping up to be much the same!
I believe Jeanne made these pieces and the one pictured above.

Two wonderful pillows!  My granddaughter would love this one :)

Two wool mats - designed by Laura.  One was made by her and the other by Joan.

These next two pieces were also made by Joan.  This rabbit is teeny tiny!  Maybe two inches square!

Some bead work...

A beautiful quilt gifted to one of the members by a friend and a quilt, below, made by Val!

It's always fun to see and be inspired by others' creations!
