I am always excited to see a youth category in a quilt show!!

Our last stop in Norway was the city of Bergen.  It is the second largest city in Norway and the largest one that we visited, with a population of over 270,000.  It was a little bit drizzly this day, but not bad and we had a great time walking or riding the bus around the city.  I finally had some time to do a little shopping this day too - to find some goodies to bring to family back home.
One of the things that I wanted to buy for myself was a Norwegian sweater.  I found some beautiful sweaters in a shop in Bergen and I tried some on, but they were so warm I wasn't sure how often I would ever wear it, so I settled for a warm Norwegian knitted hat instead.  Mike got a hat too :)

The cobble stone streets and buildings here are part of a living history museum that we visited.

This is Hakon's Hall, which was partially destroyed by an explosion in WWII and later restored in the 1950's.  Pictured below is a tapestry hanging in the Hall.

Another cool manhole cover :)

Such a beautiful country - we had a wonderful time.

What have you been working on?  I have been trying to catch up on my Sue Spargo block of the month!  I also finished quilting Woodland Whimsy which I will share some photos of.
Thanks to all who have asked for the pattern of my friend Eileen's quilt - I keep emailing those out.  I would love to see pictures when you get them finished :)
Have a happy day quilting!
