Here are two pictures of traditional quilts I took at the Houston show. I LOVE both of these quilts. This first one is called North + South by Diana Sharkey. Her design source was an 1880’s quilt. She used Civil War reproduction fabrics and contemporary fabrics together.
Patchwork of the Crosses!! I was so excited to see this quilt!! (I’m still working on mine!) It is appropriately called “I Love Lucy” and was made by Pam Thomas and quilted by Jeff Prince. It is all hand pieced and hand appliquéd. Both of these quilts are stunning. Someday.... I’m going to finish my Patchwork of the Crosses quilt!
