Happy Colorado Day!!

Happy Colorado Day!  Hope you've all had a great day wherever you live! 🥰

I finished the embroidery embellishment on Flutter and got it all ready to quilt!

Today I taught the first Toned Down Circle Sampler class at Craft Addict and Cindy brought the Needle Keep that I helped a friend teach at SSQ's Rendezvous last year.  She did a great job!

And Nancy finished her first circle - only 89 more to go!  The goal is one circle every couple of days 😊

Happy Stitching!

More Houston

It will soon be time for the Houston International Quilt Festival again and I haven't even shared all my photos from last year yet!  Here are a few more 😊

Fun Visit!!

My daughter was here this week and since we both are readers and book lovers she helped me organize my bookshelves!  It was helpful to have someone else go through them with me, and she's great at organizing - so now they're sorted by genre and alphabetized within the genres.  AND, they all fit on our shelves instead of being in piles all over.  I do have a lot of TBRs (to be read)!

Mike and I also organized the closet in our sunroom that was full of toys that were randomly scattered all over the place.  Now we have shelves and a proper place to put everything 😊

If you haven't stopped by the Cherryhill Bookbarn in awhile, there are a lot of great books out there!

This goofy girl - we do love our granddog 🥰

Borders

The speaker at the July guild meeting talked about making the borders more interesting on your quilts.  A lesson I really need!  Once I get to the borders of the quilt I'm ready to just sew something on and finish it up!  Her lecture was inspiring 😊

Fun Birthday!!

I had such a fun birthday yesterday!  Lots of love and well wishes from family and dear friends. 🥳 My AI photo just keeps getting better and better!  I wish I could style my hair like that at least!

The beautiful flowers are from my brother! I love the smiley face vase! 😊

Pickleball plates and napkins - couldn't be more perfect!

My friend Pam machine embroidered the cute little case here and filled it with sewing goodies!

Mike bought me the sign - at least he's prepared for no cooking or cleaning on the weekends 😂
I also received some Barnes and Noble gift cards and books because you know .... you can't have too many books!

I finally stitched my Leaf of the Week today.  Above is my first attempt.  The left hand silk ribbon leaves look great but the ones on the right 😲. In order to fix them I had to take them ALL out and start over! Pictured below is the final result and I do think it looks a lot better.

A Whole Week?

I can't believe it's been a week since I last posted!  I had a bit of a "week" last week so I'll give myself some grace 😊

The fun part of the week though was going to this little cutie's birthday party!

And these two 🥰

My friend Nancy came over today and we tried out our basting guns.  This is the quilt I'm planning on big stitch quilting so I didn't want a lot of pins in it.  I really like the basting gun!  I may use it for machine quilting too!  We'll see after I have to cut out all the little plastic tags 😂. So far loving it though, it was quick and easy!
