Since I kissed the ole' Blarney Stone last time I went to Ireland with my daughter, this time I took the time to explore the adjacent woolen shop more. They have a fantastic display and demonstration experience upstairs. At several of the places we visited they talked about the different knitted stitches and what they symbolize. They had a nice display and explanations here so I took pictures of them. I hope you can read them! If not, click on the picture and try zooming in.
One of the places we visited still sells hand knitted sweaters - I'll share some pictures of that place too, but most of the Irish woolen sweaters are knitted by machine now.

We visited Muckross House in Killarney National Park which was built in 1843. There were a lot of beautiful antique pieces on display including these two pieces, the old scissors and the sewing box below and the small round table with small portraits of women. I found them all fascinating!!
Went on a fun road trip with my hubby this past week! It was nice to get away. We went to two national parks that neither of us had been to before, Capitol Reef, in Utah and Great Basin, in Nevada. We also saw Donny Osmond in Las Vegas. I had been wanting to see his new show which is a retrospective of his 60 years in show business! It was SO fun, we thoroughly enjoyed it! We also toured the Sphere in Las Vegas which was really interesting. And ended the week visiting family in Utah and seeing my granddaughter's lacrosse game on a cold, windy day. Fun times 🥰
Oh, and how could I forget, we stopped at two quilt stores along the way and I bought some wool for a new project! Will be sharing that soon 😊....

I cleaned up my sewing room yesterday! I have a couple of quilts to quilt and then I am excited to start a new project! I am still working on Indigo Vases too - making progress 😊
