Wow! What a fun, busy day! It started out with a lovely Christmas brunch with the embroidery guild! We were all given these wonderful thread keepers etched with the guild’s logo. We were also treated to a delicious brunch and the entertainment was provided by the Palisade High School show choir.
Completed UFO projects were displayed and a prize (next year’s membership free) was given to one member whose name was drawn from a hat (this person had to have completed her UFO project).
The winner was Laura and this is her completed UFO quilt!
We also had an ornament exchange and this is the beautiful ornament I ended up with - made by Barb! I LOVE it and it looks so good on my tree :)
Then on to a birthday lunch with friends, a baptism at church and finally to Barnes and Noble where CO West Quilt Guild was holding their fundraiser today. We saw some beautiful quilts on display from the Art Quilt Association and did a little Christmas shopping to help out with the fundraiser.
All in all a fun and productive day! It helped put me in the Christmas Spirit! How about you? Are your stockings all hung by the chimney with care?
A
