Back in Amsterdam

On our last day in The Netherlands we spent the morning strolling through the amazing Keukenhof Gardens (near Amsterdam), 70 acres of some 7 million flowers said to bloom there, including: tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, lilies, bluebells, crocuses and many others.  The smells were wonderful and the sights were amazing.  I'm posting just very few of the many pictures we took!  It was so, so pretty and we went right during the heart of the tulip season.  In the two pictures below you can see fields and fields of tulips we saw on our bus ride out to the gardens.

They had some buildings with flowers indoors as well.

I kept seeing ideas for quilt color combinations everywhere!

One of my favorite varieties:  Fanfarella

Another favorite: Spring Break

After visiting Keukenhof Gardens, we spent the afternoon walking around Amsterdam, seeing some places we didn't get to see earlier in the week.

We had a wonderful time vacationing with these great friends, David and Michelle!  We need to plan another trip soon!

It wasn't the case here because there was a pier, but oftentimes the cruise ships would dock right next to each other like this and we would walk from one to another to another to get to shore.

After getting a brief few hours sleep, we were up early the next morning to catch our flight back home.  Wonderful trip - wonderful friends and wonderful memories 😊💝
