First of all, Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband of 37 years!! It's been a busy week, celebrating birthdays and teaching and taking classes.
The Embroidery Guild celebrated their 36th birthday with a fun program and salad luncheon on Tuesday.
The community program chosen to receive a gift from the guild this year was the Pregnancy Center. Many brought diapers, clothes and other baby supplies and the basket was passed for donations for the center to meet other needs.
There was a used stitchery book sale, with the proceeds going to the guild. There were a LOT of nice stitching books! I came home with an embroidery book with stitches I hadn't seen before!
Connie presented a fantastic program on "Why Color Matters". Everyone got to make a color wheel out of different colored candies! So fun and clever.
Here is what I learned about my favorite color:
The happiness we feel with YELLOW and the energy we get from RED combine to make ORANGE. ORANGE increases oxygen supply to the brain, produces an invigorating effect and stimulates mental activity. 😊
A fun week celebrating birthdays! I'm especially thankful for my wonderful husband! We've reached the age where we've spent more birthdays together than not. Actually we reached that age awhile ago! 😂
