It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like ...

Only 59 days until Good 'Ole St. Nick will be sliding down those chimneys!  I am making gifts and doing a little shopping.  I find that if I'm mostly "done" shopping and gift making before the holidays arrive then I'm able to enjoy them more.

Above is my Welcome to the North Pole.  This is an old pattern book by Piece 'O Cake Designs (Becky Goldsmith and Linda Jenkins).  I combined cotton with wool for all of the hand appliqué and now I'm ready to EMBELLISH 👏 - my favorite part!  I'm super excited about this quilt - I've been wanting to make it for years.

To the right are some beautiful wool sunflowers in pretty Fall colors, made by Cecelia at Black Sheep Handworx Studio - so cute!

Below is my friend Sandy showing off her wonderful advent calendar - all made in wool, all hand appliqué.  And done well before December 1st I might add.  Way to go Sandy!  I love it!

Each little decorated square is a pocket, in which you can put a piece of candy, a little
note or some other treat to open in the 24 days before Christmas.
