Stunning Quilts!

Here are some more pictures from the exhibit in Brigham City!

The Vaults at Fountains Abbey
by Stephanie Crawford, United Kingdom
(The artist says: Fountains Abbey is in Yorkshire and is one of the largest and best-preserved, ruined, Cistercian monasteries in England.  It was completed around 1170.)

Fantasy in the Style of George Birrell
by Stephanie Crawford
(Her artist's statement says that George Birrell is a Scottish artist who produces architectural and landscape paintings of his native land.)

Both of these quilts are small and amazing in detail.

Autumn Reflections
by Gloria Loughman, Australia

March to May is the Autumn season in Australia and Loughman depicts the fall foliage of Canberra in this quilt. "The town boasts spectacular promenades of trees that change the skyline all shades of red, orange and gold before falling to the footpaths."

Sandstorm Over The White Desert
by Jenny Bowker, Australia

"When Bowker and her husband lived in Egypt, Magdy Badrmany was their Bedouin guide on camping trips in the White Desert."

A Quilter's Menagerie
by Ann Fahl, Wisconsin

"In this tree-of-life quilt Fahl is presenting images that she uses in her current as well as her past work."

Celebration of Life
by Ann Fahl, Wisconsin

A greeting card from a family member was inspiration for this quilt.

Bingil Bay
by Gloria Loughman, Australia

This beautiful quilt depicts the beautiful wilderness in Queensland, Australia.

Tidal Images
by Gloria Loughman, Australia

The daily ebb and flow of the waters of the ocean, viewed during her Australian adventures, are captured in her quilt.

I really like the pieced backgrounds and the beautiful fabrics she uses!

I hope your week is going great!
