Leave Quilts Not Fabric

These are all quilts by Jenny Kae Parks, who did the program for the quilt guilds on Wednesday.  Her program was called "Leave Quilts, not Fabric" and she talked about cleaning out our sewing rooms and getting rid of kits and projects we're never going to do (and that it's OK to do that!). It was a great program and I was really happy that I just did that!  I still have my list of projects that I DO want to do and am about to check one of the list 🥰. I'll post a picture of it soon, and I'll share some more pictures of Jenny's trunk show tomorrow.

Lisa Zahn

Lisa Zahn was our speaker at CWQG last week.  She does collage quilts and is a certified teacher of the Laura Heine method.  Her quilts were fun and beautiful!  Here is a sampling of some of hers and some of her friends! 😊

 

Circle Close Ups

As promised, here are some close ups of these amazing circle samplers!!

 

Toned Down Circle Sampler

Five of the nine ladies who started the Toned Down Circle Sampler class in August made it to the very end, most finished their circles and one even finished her whole project! Congrats to all!! 👏😊

Barb's (above) - she may frame or make a wall hanging.

Nancy (below) finished her book pillow!

Sherida (above) has a few to go and is making hers into an oval shape!

Lori (below) finished these 90 circles and started  more - this time 1 1/4 inch circles.  I have some close ups of some of her bigger ones I'll post later.

Cindy finished all 90 circles. I'm not sure if she's framing or making a wall hanging.

Two more classes to go!  The ladies who've stuck with this class are doing an amazing job! I didn't get pictures of Sherida's or Nancy's this time but I will next time.  These belong to Barb, Cindy and Lori 😊

 

A Fun Afternoon at the Palette

My daughter signed up whoever wanted to for a class at the Palette this afternoon.  The four of us who went had a great time!  I was a bit skeptical because painting is not typically my thing, but I loved it!

 

Toned Down Circle Class

The Toned Down class at Craft Addict is coming along.  One of the gals in the class, Rose shared these hand embroidered sachets that she made. Wow!! 😳. These are absolutely beautiful.  Her embroidery skills are top-notch.
