Today was my stitch group's annual Christmas party! A good time was had by all! The goal was to give a handmade gift for the gift exchange. The only thing handmade about mine this year was a small wool ornament that I stitched. All the gifts were wonderful though and we had such a good time. These women are all amazing friends and creative inspirations!! 🥰
Japanese rice bag made by Nancy.
Bowl made by Becky (and handmade cards too!)
Mug made by Rena's daughter and coasters made by Rena.
The ornament I made 😂
Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving!!
We did a little Turkey Trotting...
And a little pickle balling....
And ate a little too much food!!
Except this girl - she didn't overeat 😊❤️
Today at Needle Keepers Theresa showed us how to make these crocheted Christmas ornaments! Mine is above and I took a picture of the "best side" 😂. My first attempt and I love it! I'm going to hang it on our tree. 😊
Becky made the all white one (the white yarn has a sparkly silver in it). I just think this one is so elegant and beautiful.
What a fun craft! I haven't crocheted in forever!
Look at poor granddog, having a little bit of FOMO 😂. She's adorable 🥰
I finished a project this weekend for my daughter! Years and years ago, my mother made one of these panels for our kids when they were little. There is a little stuffed bear that moves around each day (velcro) until on December 24th he finds Christmas in the living room. My oldest daughter got the one my Mom made and my youngest daughter hunted around until she found the panel and I got hers done this weekend! I found some cute fabric for the backing and binding at Craft Addict Junction. Hopefully her kids will enjoy it as much as ours did 😊❤️
We've been out of town for a few days helping my oldest daughter who had to have surgery this past week. It's been rough for her but I'm praying she continues to do better and better each day!! ❤️
Happy Mother's Day to all! I got breakfast in bed, including yummy sourdough bread made by my youngest daughter and my favorite hot chocolate 😋
Then she sent me these photos with quotes, "I love when Grandma plays with me."
and
"I love quilting and doing stuff with fabric with Grandma."
Hope you all have a wonderful Easter!! We celebrated with family last weekend so this weekend has been kind of quiet. I got my leaf of the week stitched yesterday and a quilt and two wall hangings (the advent calendars!) pinned and ready to quilt!
I also cleaned my sewing room 🤪. Did I get rid of anything?? ONE thing was all I could part with...
Early Easter and late birthday celebration this weekend with the whole family! SO fun to have everyone together! 🥰
Happy New Year!! I done this a few times but decided to do it today for the New Year. My words are Change, Strength, Miracles and Breakthrough. What are yours? 🥳
Fun family times for Christmas! Some we spent time with in person, some we FaceTimed or talked on the phone. We enjoyed making memories with all!
My daughter made this DELICIOUS pumpkin sourdough bread! Can you see the snow covered trees?
My granddaughter made my husband and I each a poster - here is mine! 🥰
My son's dog got a new jacket because my granddaughter wanted to make SURE everyone knows she's a girl. 😊
Fun new games, and Princess with her pink scooter!
New quilt for her big girl bed!
Cuties 🥰
FaceTime to see all the excitement in the other household!
Today is the last day of 2024 - looking forward to 2025!
