Veteran's Quilt

I sewed the binding on this Veteran's Quilt today.  Someone else pieced it and someone else quilted it.  It takes a village!  Hopefully the recipient will enjoy it as we truly are grateful for their service! 🇺🇸

Beautiful Quilts

It's chemo week and we so appreciate the beautiful quilts that hang in the cancer center at St. Mary's!  Thanks to all who help coordinate this!

Baby Quilts

I bought a kit to make a quilt that looked kind of like vinyl records.  I had to buy a ruler to make that quilt and the ruler came with this pattern which I ended up liking better!  So with that kit I made two baby quilts using the other pattern.  I love the fabric and the way they turned out!

I've had the tops pieced for several weeks but finally got them quilted over the weekend and binding sewn down today.  Yay!! 😊👏

 

Finally!

 I'm finally working on some projects this weekend.  I made these "Santa Sacks" a couple of years ago to wrap the grandkids presents in at Christmas time.  We have a new grandchild so I needed a new Santa sack! 

What?? Only one??

 Granddaugbhter's face when she found out the advent calendar I made them only yields one candy per day 😂❤️

Flip Flop Pillow

We had the Toned Down Circle Sampler class today at Craft Addict and Sherida showed us her Flip Flop pillow, which is a gift for her daughter for Christmas!  I've seen her working on this and it turned out SO cute! 👏😊❤️

 

A Big Finish!

This log cabin quilt I made with ombre fabrics from Jennifer Sampou is finished!  Cheryl Bradford quilted it for me and did a beautiful job!  I LOVE it!!  Now it's ready to be gifted at Christmas 🎅🏼🎄, which will be here before we know it...

We have one of these fourth monkeys at our house 😉

 

Book Pillows

My friend Pam, who does machine embroidery, made the cutest book pillows!!  Cute gifts 😊  I love the one Becky made me last Christmas!!

 

A Finish!!

I finished a quilt that I'm going to give to a friend.  The pattern is Desert Windmills and I bought the kit from The Quilt Show store.  I was worried I wouldn't be able to pick the fabrics to have the same effect of pinwheels spinning!  I like the way it turned out 🥰

Not a fun start to Spring and Summer for this cute girl!  At least the cast will be off soon after school lets out!

 

Advent Calendars Finished!!

The two advent calendars I started in January for grandkids are all finished!  My intent was to work on them all year long but once I got going I just wanted to finish them, so now they're ready well in advance 😂 And I'm excited to work on something else! 

These were fun to make though.  I got the pattern (ABC Christmas Advent) from the Midway Wool booth at the Houston Quilt Festival in the Fall.  Here is a link to it on their website:

I bound one in a red strip fabric and one in a green stripe fabric, other than that they're pretty much the same.  I put a label on the back stating what each letter stands for, A is for Angel etc. as some of them are a bit of a stretch.  So excited to have finished them 😊. The stockings can (and will) be stuffed with candies and little notes etc.  So fun ❤️

A couple more are done!  I like seeing how the embellishing really makes them come alive!

 

Advent Calendar Times Two

I am making two advent calendars for the grandkids, one for each family.  Honestly if I had realized how much time these were going to take I might not have started 😜 But I'm well on the way now!  All are stitched and ready to embellish.  I got two embellished this weekend, only 48 more to go! 😲

Home Sweet Home Wall Hanging

 I bought this little kit a long time ago at a shop hop in Utah.  Finally this past year I got it out and decided to make it!  I just had it framed at Hobby Lobby and they did such a great job.  I really like it - it's the perfect size to hang over a door way or above a window.  I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do with it, gift it?  Keep it?  I'm not sure yet!

Books and Pickleball

My friend's daughter asked me if I had some fabric scraps of certain colors a few months ago because she wanted to make a bookshelf quilt for her Mom (my friend) who is an avid reader.  Look how great it turned out! I'm so impressed!  She said she is not a quilter so she didn't make a quilt, she "crafted a blanket". 😂. Looks like a fabulous quilt to me!! 👏❤️

Oh my gosh - should I make a pickleball quilt?  It's so tempting!!
