Leave Quilts Not Fabric

These are all quilts by Jenny Kae Parks, who did the program for the quilt guilds on Wednesday.  Her program was called "Leave Quilts, not Fabric" and she talked about cleaning out our sewing rooms and getting rid of kits and projects we're never going to do (and that it's OK to do that!). It was a great program and I was really happy that I just did that!  I still have my list of projects that I DO want to do and am about to check one of the list 🥰. I'll post a picture of it soon, and I'll share some more pictures of Jenny's trunk show tomorrow.

Inspired Yet?

Are you inspired yet to put something fun on the backs of your quilts?  These are the last of my Jan McFarland quilt pictures.  I think it would be fun to do this!

The last two quilts pictured, I just got photos of the fronts of the quilts. 

I finally made it to the sewing room today!  I'm feeling productive 😊

Jan McFarland

I went to the CWQG Meeting this week and the speaker, Jan McFarland, talked about putting a little something extra on the backs of your quilts.  She showed examples and talked about them and then presented a trunk show of quilts where she put the ideas into practice.  I don't think I've ever been as excited to see the back of a quilt as much as the front!  It was such a fun program and very inspiring!

Quilt Show - Coming Right UP!

These quilts were shown for show and tell at the CWQG meeting this month!  Lucky for us, some of them will displayed at the Mesa to Monuments quilt show coming up in a little over one week!  Details below - you don't want to miss it 🥰

 

Lisa Zahn

Lisa Zahn was our speaker at CWQG last week.  She does collage quilts and is a certified teacher of the Laura Heine method.  Her quilts were fun and beautiful!  Here is a sampling of some of hers and some of her friends! 😊

Deep Clean

I'm deep cleaning my sewing room!  It's going to take awhile.... This week I cut up some fabric scraps into either 5" or 10" squares and made bundles the guild can hopefully sell at their booth at the upcoming quilt show 😊 Show are the pretty Japanese taupe and woven fabrics.
