Just a Few More!

A few more pictures from our Ireland trip because it's SO pretty!!

Circled in red is where you kiss the Blarney Stone (from the inside).  It's a pretty windy staircase to get up to the top! 😊

I do miss the full Irish breakfast!  Especially the porridge! ❤️🇨🇮☘️

Top Done (almost)!

I got the quilt top put together but still need to put the borders on!

The picturesque Kylemore Abbey

I love the four different marbles from each of the four provinces of Ireland.

Aughnanure Castle

A windy and rainy day for a walk along the Cliffs of Moher - absolutely beautiful though....

Mount Falcon/Croagh Patrick

We stayed at this amazing lodge/resort called Mount Falcon.  Such beautiful surroundings and so peaceful.  I loved it!!

We did get to go to Croagh Patrick for the first time.  This we what Wikipedia says about it if you're curious:

It has long been seen as a holy mountain. It was the focus of a prehistoric ritual landscape, and later became associated with Saint Patrick, who is said to have spent forty days fasting on the summit. There has been a church on the summit since the 5th century; the current church dates to the early 20th century. Croagh Patrick is climbed by thousands of pilgrims every year on Reek Sunday, the last Sunday in July, a custom which goes back to at least the Middle Ages.

Donegal

This is what I love about Ireland!  I'm not a big city, bustling traffic person.  Love the green hills and pastures!

Our first time to Donegal, home of Donegal Tweed!

All along the way we found the best little bookshops!!

Had a wonderful sheep dog demo at a working sheep farm.  This dog, Ben is a world champion.  They travel all over to compete.  If you haven't been to the Sheep Dog Trials in Meeker, CO, you really should!!

Right across from the farm is Irelands flat top mountain (Mesa) - not as big as the Grand Mesa, but looks so similar!!

The Giant's Causeway to Derry

The Giant's Causeway is made up of naturally formed hexagonal shaped columns - it was so cool!

A castle ruin along the Causeway Coast

Peace Bridge, Town Hall and a nice view of Derry/LondonDerry.  We took a great walking tour of the city and learned a lot of history.

One cool dude 🥰
