Baby Quilts

I bought a kit to make a quilt that looked kind of like vinyl records.  I had to buy a ruler to make that quilt and the ruler came with this pattern which I ended up liking better!  So with that kit I made two baby quilts using the other pattern.  I love the fabric and the way they turned out!

I've had the tops pieced for several weeks but finally got them quilted over the weekend and binding sewn down today.  Yay!! 😊👏

A Big Finish!

This log cabin quilt I made with ombre fabrics from Jennifer Sampou is finished!  Cheryl Bradford quilted it for me and did a beautiful job!  I LOVE it!!  Now it's ready to be gifted at Christmas 🎅🏼🎄, which will be here before we know it...

We have one of these fourth monkeys at our house 😉

Big Woods

My friend Nancy finished her Big Woods quilt (pattern by Sarah Fielke)!  It turned out so beautiful and I love the backing too (Big Backs by Tula Pink).  Eddy Davis quilted the quilt 😊

Coming Home

My friend Rena finished this beautiful quilt - the pattern is Coming Home by Sarah Fielke.  Rena did an amazing job on all of the piecing and appliqué and it was quilted by Cheryl Bradford.

A Finish!!

I finished a quilt that I'm going to give to a friend.  The pattern is Desert Windmills and I bought the kit from The Quilt Show store.  I was worried I wouldn't be able to pick the fabrics to have the same effect of pinwheels spinning!  I like the way it turned out 🥰

Not a fun start to Spring and Summer for this cute girl!  At least the cast will be off soon after school lets out!

Advent Calendars Finished!!

The two advent calendars I started in January for grandkids are all finished!  My intent was to work on them all year long but once I got going I just wanted to finish them, so now they're ready well in advance 😂 And I'm excited to work on something else!

These were fun to make though.  I got the pattern (ABC Christmas Advent) from the Midway Wool booth at the Houston Quilt Festival in the Fall.  Here is a link to it on their website:

https://midwaywool.com/products/abc-advent-kit-with-pattern?_pos=1&_sid=4002947f7&_ss=r

I bound one in a red strip fabric and one in a green stripe fabric, other than that they're pretty much the same.  I put a label on the back stating what each letter stands for, A is for Angel etc. as some of them are a bit of a stretch.  So excited to have finished them 😊. The stockings can (and will) be stuffed with candies and little notes etc.  So fun ❤️

Happy Easter!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter!!  We celebrated with family last weekend so this weekend has been kind of quiet.  I got my leaf of the week stitched yesterday and a quilt and two wall hangings (the advent calendars!) pinned and ready to quilt!

I also cleaned my sewing room 🤪. Did I get rid of anything??  ONE thing was all I could part with...

Amazing Quilting!

Check out the amazing quilting on all of these quilts!

I'm sorry but I somehow didn't get a picture of the information sheet on this quilt.  I love all of the houses and the quilting in the border!

Quilting 😲

Did you recognize the 50's diner sign depicted in the quilt?  My husband saw the In N Out Burger sign right away!  I also had to get a close up of her seer-sucker quilting!  I love it!

Tuesday Afternoons are the BEST

Every Tuesday afternoon my friend Becky hosts a small stitching group at her home.  We call ourselves the Needle Keepers.  I must say, I look forward to this time SO MUCH.  It's a relaxing time just to stitch with friends and be inspired by their work 😊

Check out Rena's beautiful Sashiko table runner above and Nancy's amazing Trinket quilt below, in which she learned to foundation paper piece, hand appliqué AND she machine quilted it herself!!

Bravo ladies!! 👏❤️

This cute wall hanging was made by Rena for her little grandson 😊

On most Tuesdays we also get to play with our cute "granddog".  She's so well behaved and fun. 🥰

Burrows and Boughs

Another finish!!  I finished quilting and binding my Burrows and Boughs block of the month quilt by Jen Kingwell.  This one was a bit of a challenge, but I love the way it turned out!  I'm pretty happy with the quilting too 😊

Tula's Butterfly Quilt

Another finish!  This quilt was SO fun to make.  I bought the kit a long time ago and was inspired to get going on it when I saw my friend Sheila's in the local quilt show in April.  The blocks were fun to piece and went together pretty quickly.  I loved the quilting on Sheila's SO much that for the first time in 25 years or so I paid someone to quilt one of my quilts!  I'm so glad I did, I LOVE the way it turned out.  Cheryl Bradford quilted it for me. 👏😊

Happy Fourth of July!  Have a great weekend! 🇺🇸❤️
