Just a Few More!

A few more pictures from our Ireland trip because it's SO pretty!!

Circled in red is where you kiss the Blarney Stone (from the inside).  It's a pretty windy staircase to get up to the top! 😊

I do miss the full Irish breakfast!  Especially the porridge! ❤️🇨🇮☘️

Library Quilt Show

My husband grew up in a small town in Wyoming and this past weekend we went there for his 50th high school class reunion.  We had a great time and he was able to catch up with a lot of old friends.  While waiting for him during one activity I went into the library and they just happened to have a quilt show going on!  Lucky me!  Here are the quilts that were on display 😊

Belfast and Ballygally

In Belfast we got to tour Hillsborough Castle and Gardens, the Royal residence in Northern Ireland.

Beautiful!!

And, the Titanic museum which I was very much looking forward to, did NOT disappoint!  It was really amazing and we learned a lot.  Here we are standing right where the Titanic was built (The Titanic on the left and the Olympic on the right)  They still build ships here.

We stayed in Ballygally Castle hotel which is haunted by the ghost of Isabel.  I was sure I heard her in the middle of the night! 😲. Might have been my imagination, who knows? 😂

We were right across the street from the ocean where people were swimming!  It felt cold to us desert dwellers!

Road Trip!

Went on a fun road trip with my hubby this past week!  It was nice to get away.  We went to two national parks that neither of us had been to before, Capitol Reef, in Utah and Great Basin, in Nevada.  We also saw Donny Osmond in Las Vegas.  I had been wanting to see his new show which is a retrospective of his 60 years in show business!  It was SO fun, we thoroughly enjoyed it! We also toured the Sphere in Las Vegas which was really interesting.  And ended the week visiting family in Utah and seeing my granddaughter's lacrosse game on a cold, windy day.  Fun times 🥰

Oh, and how could I forget, we stopped at two quilt stores along the way and I bought some wool for a new project!  Will be sharing that soon 😊....

Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show

Finally made it the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show in Sisters, Oregon!  Had such a great time!  My husband had planned some side trips too which we also enjoyed.  It was a great week ❤️

I'll be sharing more!!

Fabulous book store in Sisters!  So huge with a great selection of books and games.  It also gave us a nice little respite from walking around in the heat!

Took a class on making traveling scrolls (embroidery) with these two fun ladies - Leslie Jenison and Michele Musk

Met up with a friend I hadn't seen since 2020.  We didn't know each other was going to be there but found out through Instagram posts 😊

Apparently it's tradition to get a treat from the Sisters Bakery on Quilt Show day.  Had to follow tradition!  Look at the line!  It moved fairly quickly though 😋
