Talented Friends

I'm sharing the works of my talented friends because I've been working on Kith and Kin, Sue Spargo's BOM for this year and I can't share pictures of it yet!

Tinsel

My friend Michelle finished her Christmas wall hanging!  This was a pillow pattern by Sue Spargo last year. I love the purple/lavendar background and the quilting! 👏❤️🥰

My friend Nancy made the cutest Sashiko bag!  I'm inspired to work on some that I have! 🥰

 

Boho Heart Top Complete!

I finished the top!  I really like it!  I ordered a wide back and when that comes Cheryl Bradford is going to quilt it for me 🥰. This was a really fun quilt to make.

Look at this STUNNING needle roll my friend Cindy made!!  Everything about this is just gorgeous and her work is impeccable. And the colors!  Oh my!

This needs to be displayed as a work of art somewhere - it's so beautiful 🥰

Truffle Duffle

 I know I shared a picture of this Truffle Duffle quilt already but Rena got it all finished so I took another one!  She did such an amazing job! 👏😊

Truffle Duffle

A friend of mine asked me to quilt her Truffle Duffle quilt (a Sue Spargo pattern), so that's what I did today.  My goal was for the quilting not to show, because there is so much beautiful hand embroidered stitching on there I didn't want the quilting to be distracting. I think I accomplished that goal! 😅. I also learned that it's much easier to quilt a wool quilt if it has cotton batting vs. if it has wool batting.  I think the wool batting in a wool quilt is harder (for me) to quilt, and the quilting definitely shows up more.  I love her quilt, her embroidery stitching is AMAZING!! 👏😊❤️

 

Cross That off the List

I got to cross one thing off my list of unfinished projects 👏

I finished this Sashiko "Organic Table Runner", a kit that I got from Sue Spargo during the 12 Days of Christmas.  It was harder than I thought it would be but I like it!!

 

Allegory

I finished a quilt and got to check it off my projects list!  Hurray!

This quilt is called Allegory and it was a kit from Anna Maria Textiles (actually I bought the kit from Sue Spargo's website :) I love how it turned out and a big thank you to Cheryl Bradford who did the quilting for me!! 👏😊❤️

It's machine pieced and hand appliquéd.

Finished!!

I finished sewing the binding on!  I really love this quilt!  Coming soon - some close up pictures of Cheryl's amazing quilting 🥰👏

The Cutest Tinsel

My friend Michelle finished her Tinsel quilt (Sue Spargo pattern) and it's the cutest one I've seen!  I love what she did with her borders with the holly leaves and scallops! 😊❤️👏

 

Toned Down Circle Sampler

Five of the nine ladies who started the Toned Down Circle Sampler class in August made it to the very end, most finished their circles and one even finished her whole project! Congrats to all!! 👏😊

Nancy (below) finished her book pillow!

Sherida (above) has a few to go and is making hers into an oval shape!

Lori (below) finished these 90 circles and started  more - this time 1 1/4 inch circles.  I have some close ups of some of her bigger ones I'll post later.

Cindy finished all 90 circles. I'm not sure if she's framing or making a wall hanging.

Two Finishes!

I finished two small wall hangings this weekend, both of which I've been working on for a year!  This is my finished Leaf the Week Behind.  It was a lot of fun to work on. 😊

The second finish I can't share yet because it's the "lite" BOM from Sue Spargo for 2025 and the book is not out yet.  It turned out so cute though!  I'm excited about it.  This was the first BOM designed by her daughters Kelly and Aimee. 👏

I just happened to have this leaf fabric that was perfect for the back.
