Stitches, Stitches, Stitches...

I took pictures of Sue's samples to give me ideas and inspiration as I move forward on my project :)

 This is an example of the exercise she had us do that I mentioned yesterday.  She gave us paper and had us cut shapes for ideas of design elements we could add to our piece.

Hexie flowers, yo-yo flowers, crocheted flowers - oh my!

We also learned how to emboss velvet! I'd never even heard of this, let alone tried it - pretty awesome!

You need to get the velvet slightly damp for the embossing and she said a spray bottle can get it too wet.  She used this nifty little spray mister that is the size of a pen!






I made some progress on mine this weekend!
