We took a hike to a black sand beach. The Big Island has black sand, green sand and white sand. We also learned that Hawaii is one of the most ecologically diverse places in the world. The big island of Hawaii has four out of five of the major climate zones in the world, and 8 out of 13 of the sub zones. Pretty amazing and quite beautiful.
Yesterday I went to my miniature quilt group meeting which was a birthday luncheon - VERY fun. More on that later. And today I'm off to Wool Gatherer's at Hi Fashion. It's been a fun week catching up with friends! Next week I plan to get to work quilting my pile of quilts that are pinned and ready to go!
