Busy Week!

 I am a terrible blogger lately, but I have had a busy week or so.  My daughter came and celebrated her birthday and Easter with us - we had a great time.  I got to go to a quilt guild meeting last week, and at a church activity (photo above) 101 blankets were made and donated to The House, a local organization that helps teenagers who are struggling.

So, funny story... the woman in charge of the church activity called a couple of weeks ago to ask my advice on how to put labels on these blankets so the teens could write their names on them.  She said she called me because I make "blankets".  Well.... actually I buy blankets and I make quilts!  So I probably wasn't the best person to ask, because I told her about printable fabric sheets and Heat 'n Bond and how they could iron the labels on these FLEECE blankets, once they finished them.  I was, luckily, talking to my friend Michelle who reminded me that you can't iron on fleece!  I was sweating it out because they had already ordered all the supplies.  Thankfully with some parchment paper, we were able to iron the labels on 😅. Yep, I'm probably not the best person to ask about blankets... unless you want to buy one... 😜
