I was able to get some sewing in today. I finished up the four inch blocks, made some three inch blocks and started on the two in blocks! I have 20 more to make (they are all cut out, pictured below), then I can start assembling the quilt 🥰
Then I can clean up this mess! (Before making another one 😂)
I always thought I started quilting after we moved to Grand Junction, but as I was looking through old pictures I found these quilts that a friend of mine and I put together way back in the early 90's for my oldest daughter's first elementary school. If I remember correctly, my friend came up with the idea of having all the kids at school (with their family) create a house block. I think most of them were drawn or colored. Then she and I put them together into what was supposed to be one quilt but ended up being three! These first two pictures are the same quilt, the middle is a different quilt and the last two pictures are of the same quilt. The kids in the pictures are mine and my son just turned 40 - I think he was four in these pictures. Wow! Time flies! I guess I was destined to be a quilter 🥰
I wonder where these quilts are now? Still hanging at the school?
We had a wonderful experience last week as, through my son-in-law's efforts, Mike was named the True Blue hero of the week for the BYU football team! It was a fun surprise for him and we had a lot of family come to help celebrate, which made it all the more special 🥰

I read an article recently on creativity and how we all have a need to be creative. It's good for us in many ways, and you don't have to be good at something to try it! Just find something you enjoy doing and keep at it. Or keep trying new things until you find something you enjoy. Have a great day!

Did you know that every 2nd and 4th Thursday at Craft Addict Junction you can go and hand embroidery all day? If you need help, Lori is there 😊. She takes embroidery to a whole new level. She did the Toned Down Circle Sampler of Sue Spargo's and now look what she's up to! I believe these are 1.5 inch circles and she is coming up with the CUTEST designs. I will share some more in the next few days!
The Boho blocks are getting smaller! I made two five inch blocks today, then moved on to some four inch blocks. The two above are six inch. I've probably made at least 40 blocks by now! I'm getting excited to get this put together 😊
