Woodland Whimsy Workshop
Yesterday we had a Woodland Whimsy workshop at Inspiration Fabrics. It was really fun to see everyone's progress! These two photos are of Mary's first two blocks in progress.
I am enjoying seeing how everyone is making their blocks unique by trying different techniques and the workshop gives everyone a chance to show what they're doing and offer tips and tricks to each other! I love it!
Above is Judy's first block. I'm impressed with how much she's done since she recently had surgery!
Cecelia is doing a lot of needle punch on her blocks. Here is her bear - don't you just want to pet him?
Yesterday we learned the Hungarian Braid Stitch, which is a beautiful stitch that I love, and the Knotted Buttonhole Wheel stitch - which is actually a combination of TWO stitches - the Buttonhole Wheel Stitch and the Knotted Blanket Stitch. The Hungarian Braid Stitch is not an easy one, but everyone did a great job and practice makes perfect :)
The Bunny block below is Michelle's, with a turkey work tail and fusible fleece stuffed strawberries!
All of these ladies are SEW VERY CREATIVE!!
