I’m in Layton, Utah at Quilt Fest 2018, sponsored by the Utah Quilt Guild. It started Tuesday and goes until tomorrow. I arrived today, a little late to the party, but I’m still having a great time!
Today I attended the luncheon, at which Jean Impey was the speaker (https://sewjean.com)
She was a fun speaker and told us of her quilting journey.
These are examples of her work. She is one of the National teachers here this year.
I know Becky Goldsmith is also, but at the moment I can’t remember who the others are!
These palm trees were the table favors today
(the Utah Quilt Guild goes ALL out on making Quilt Fest and these luncheons FUN.)
Wrapped inside the brown paper is a ruler - everyone got one!
The theme for Quilt Fest this year is Quilts Over Broadway - the theme for the luncheon today was South Pacific.
I took a class this evening, more on that later!
In the meantime, check out these cute bookmarks that my daughter Megan made!!
Have a great weekend!!
I think Halloween and Christmas holiday fabric is so cute!!
