I saw a wonderful exhibit by the British Quilt Study Group at the Quilt Festival in Birmingham. I tried to take good photos of their signage, so you can get a better idea of what they do and how they do it. If a picture is too small, just click on it and it should enlarge it.
I also saw The Tentmakers of Cairo, in person, for the first time! I have seen videos and articles about them, but it was so interesting to see their work up close. It's amazing.
I found this article about them that will give you a little more information:

Following are some more photos of Stavanger, our first stop in Norway. My husband kept taking pictures of interesting manhole covers in Norway and later we found out that another man at our dinner table was doing the same thing! They are works of art, in and of themselves :)
We were blessed with beautiful weather. The air was so crisp and clean and the water too - it was just gorgeous. We took a small boat tour further up the fjord for the first half of the day.
We kept seeing these beautiful farms along the coast (above)
and we saw several salmon farms too, in the fjords.
This is Pulpit Rock, because as you can see it's shaped like a pulpit. Some of the hardy souls on our ship climbed up to it. A lady later told us that people were doing hand stands near the edge - ah! Anything for a picture I guess.... (not me!)
Along the way we stopped at a restaurant for a "waffle stop" - mmmm.... delicious!
We saw so many beautiful waterfalls, I couldn't even begin to count them all.
We also ran into our first troll in Stavanger! Of course we saw many, many more after that. Trolls and Vikings!
After our boat tour we walked around town. This is an old part of town with the cobblestone streets.
I, of course, found some shops!
I even spotted a QUILT STORE! I might not have, but you can't miss "BERNINA, PFAFF, SINGER ETC." They're speaking MY language now. Those names sound the same in any language right?
I bought a small spool of Belgian lace in a quilt store in Norway 😁
We ended the day with a perfect sunset back aboard the Sapphire Princess.
Beautiful pictures! Enjoy your blog! Thank you, Karen!!!
