Vanilla Making

I know this isn't quilt related but I wanted to share how my vanilla is coming along!  I've been wanting to "make" my own vanilla for awhile now and finally bought these cute little jars and the vanilla beans from

I carefully followed the instructions and am now waiting for my vanilla "steep".  According to the instructions, "the longer it steeps, the more depth and flavor your vanilla will develop."  The earliest I can use it would be the end of January.  But as you can see in the photo below, we're making progress!
