Handwork

I love to do handwork and need to have something on hand to do in the evenings.  I stitched these circles and squares on wool awhile ago to give me a new sampler to work on.  Then I put it aside and knitted a scarf!  Now I'm back to it and trying to decide on some threads that might work with the grays and teal blues.  And ... I don't have a pattern!  I'm so used to following one of Sue Spargo's patterns, but I decided to do this on my own and see what I come up with!  The first few days I just sat and stared at it, or avoided it all together.  Then I started working on the cotton back ground pieces, ribbons and rick rack - adding stitching to those.  Little by little, hopefully I'll think of stitches and embellishments to add to make it pretty. 😊
