We had a nice little get away to the mountains this week. A much needed relaxing vacation! There have been a lot of mudslides in Glenwood Canyon recently so we were lucky on the way over that I-70 was open. We were sad to see the mud covering up the bike path, which we've enjoyed many times. It will likely take a few years to get this all figured out. As you can see, the river East of the slide is pretty high!
These pictures are all out of order so I'll just explain them out of order. 😂. On the way home, I-70 was closed again so we took the southern route, which made the drive twice as long, but we got to see parts of Colorado we haven't yet seen! Like FairPlay! It was such a nice day, and so pretty. And... we had these yummy cookies from Mountain Cookie in Breckenridge to eat along the way. 😋
Crossed the Continental Divide on the way home
Mike resting in downtown Breckenridge
A cool troll statue in Breckenridge....
We saw a few moose near where we were staying!
I always like to look for quilt stores when we're passing through a "new to us" town. Found this one in Buena Vista!
I loved the beautiful ranches we passed by in Southern Colorado!! ❤️❤️
Had a great time golfing in Keystone! I was a little nervous at first because this is a much nicer course than I'm accustomed to 😂. But we really had a lot of fun, even though we got dumped by rain on hole 9!
I have NOT being sewing much at all! I hope to get back to it this week and start working on the three quilts that are pinned and ready to be quilted. I'll keep you posted! 😊
Fun time! Thanks.
