A few years ago I recreated a quilt for my friend Eileen and had several requests for the pattern. I wrote it up (not professionally by any means) and I will email it out to anyone who asks for it. I still get several requests a month! If you go to the post It Worked, you can read more about this quilt. When I send the pattern I do request that they send me a picture once they've completed it. I love seeing it made in different colors. Yesterday I received a picture of this peachy colored one made by LaVona. She said,
"Thank you so much for the pattern. Is now ready for my quilting lady! Wish my fingers would let me hand quilt it! I originally wanted to do it in blues but could not find a print I was crazy about, so ended up a peachy pink. I found a 108” backing print I liked so used it for the peach. I did find I am not using a white on white to appliqué in the future as is hard to get the needle thru and have a very sore middle finger from puncture wounds for proof! This pattern went together so beautifully. Keep designing
LaVonaI did (finally) get up to my sewing studio yesterday and worked on my Jen Kingwell Winkie Stars quilt. I am making this with a combination of hand and machine piecing. Yesterday I worked on the machine piecing! I feel like I got a lot done. I kind of want to machine piece some of the inset seams too, just to keep it moving along. We'll see - I'll keep you posted!
These cuties just make me smile every day 😊❤️🥰❤️
