I think these are amazing. Last Fall when I went to the Houston International Quilt Festival with my friend Michelle, I bought the fabric for the Graffiti challenge. I was so excited about it, I was sure I could think of something! But the fabric is still sitting there and I didn't come up with a "clever" idea. I will use the beautiful fabric for something else.
I was talking to a friend this morning and she said she never felt like she was clever enough for the guild challenges we had several years ago. I thought her guild challenge quilts were fantastic! She remembered one of mine and I told her that I felt like it was the one time I came up with a clever idea for a challenge quilt 😂.
This quilt was made for a "Go Green" challenge for the Colorado West Quilt Guild in 2009. It was supposed to be about being environmentally friendly, recycling etc. and the idea I came up with was "Reducing My Carbon Footprint", with a large blingy shoe on top and working down to just a simple footprint, with no bling. For me .... that was pretty clever! 😂
Maybe next year I can think of something for the Cherrywood Challenge!
Have a great day!😊
I love your idea!! Beautiful pieces!!
