Needle Keepers

I belong to a FUN stitch group that we call the Needle Keepers.  We meet at my friend Becky's house and stitch and laugh and talk and just enjoy being inspired by one another.

Today half of the group couldn't make it because of other obligations but those of us who met watched a YouTube video on how to make these Dorset Buttons.  I've made the kind with the spokes and whipped woven circle before, but we wanted to try to this one that looks like a flower bouquet.  At the end of the blog post, I'll attach the picture that inspired us and a link to the video we watched.

Pictured above is the one I made and pictured below is the one Rena made.  My pictures are out of order but Nancy's is pictured here too.

Also, above is a quilt Nancy is working on and almost finished with and below is Rena's "How Eye Roll", which she cleverly made into a pillow!!

This is Nancy's Dorset Button, made with a thicker thread.  It turned out SO cool!

The picture that inspired us!  I would like to try one with bullion roses like this one!  That is my next task!

Here are two videos to help you get started, should you be so inclined 😊
