Quilting Adventures

As I embark on another quilting adventure this week, I thought I'd share a little more about this class I took at the Sisters Oregon show in July!

Leslie and Michelle taught the class and it was all hand stitching - which I love.  They prepared beautiful kits for us (below).

The class was on stitching scrolls.  My friend Sherida made on awhile back and I've been wanting to give it a try!  I even ordered an antique spool to put it on.  This class was fun and gave me a good push to start, but now I need to dig deep for some creativity to keep going. šŸ˜Š

My start is pictured below.

Michelle was also hand stitching these wool patches!  She stitches laters of wool onto a background wool piece (the pink) and then sews them on jackets, clothes, bags etc. as patches.  She had some really fun examples!  It would definitely be easier than stitching right on the clothing, if you're layering wool pieces,.
