I love seeing quilts and taking in the design and the quilting and the workmanship, but I also love reading the artist's statement and finding out the story behind the quilt. It always amazes me what goes into making these quilts come to be. For example the African elephant quilt made of silk neckties? And I really need to have the Maya Angelo quote hanging on my wall!
