Back at the Birmingham Quilt Festival - here are some more quilts!
These next few quilts were all made by Shizuko Kuroha.
The one above is called "Remembrance of Wind"
This is to the left is "Gifts from the Sky" (Detail below)
Above "Flight"
Right "Cosmos II"
(I really like this one - these were all Indigo and Sarasa quilts)
There was a very cool display of umbrellas! The one above is called "Shades of an Indian Summer" by Pam Morris.
I fell in love with this purse by Roser Soler, called Waves.
After we left Stonehenge we drove south to Cornwall, which is so beautiful. We loved it. We stayed the night in Marazion, near Penzance, at the Godolphin Inn, right across from St. Michael's Mount. When the tide was low you could walk across to the island, which we did. During high tide you have to take a ferry. We walked across, explored the island a little bit and walked back as the sun was setting - so beautiful.
I like this mural painted on the wall of one of the buildings.
St. Michael's Mount is a small tidal island in Mount's Bay in Cornwall. The island is a civil parish which is managed by the National Trust and the castle and chapel have been the home of the St. Aubyn family since about 1650. The early buildings on the summit date to the 12th century. It is one of 43 tidal islands that one can walk to from mainland Britain.

This cute little cafe was right across from our Bed and Breakfast. Delicious food at the B&B by the way! Mike was loving all the seafood he was getting!
I would like to thank everyone who sent cards and expressions of love and encouragement after my Mom passed away. Your love and prayers have been truly appreciated.
Have a wonderful day :)
