Bruges, Belgium

On Day 7 we spent the morning in Bruges, Belgium.  (I've also seen it spelled Brugge.) It is one of the best preserved medieval cities in the world and its city center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  We spent the morning walking around and marveling at the beautiful architecture and scenery.  Of course I enjoyed the wonderful shops too :). I hope you enjoy the pictures!

This is the Beguinage - once home to followers of the Beguine religious movement,
built in the 13th century.  It is currently a monastery for Benedictine sisters.

The 400-foot spire of the Church of Our Lady is one of the worlds' tallest brick structures.
