Embossing Velvet
Not quite a third of the way done, but I like it! Not sure about that silly cat but .... 😂
Today's circle involved couching, backstitch, bouillons, Italian Knotted stitch, woven picots and French Knots! Oh my!
Have you ever tried embossing velvet? I learned how to do it in the class I took from Sue Spargo in Santa Fe. I really want to try it! It involves wetting the velvet slightly with a spray bottle and placing the velvet face down on a rubber stamp and pressing an iron on it for a few seconds. The design on the rubber stamp is then imprinted onto the velvet - it looks SO cool!
Becky, from the class tried it on her piece so you can see the results in these photos.
I definitely need to try this! 😊
