Three Irons
Day 27! Another pretty basket of flowers! Chain Stitch, Open Buttonhole Filler Stitch, Bouillon, Couching and French Knots 😊
Most quilters I know own multiple sewing machines - I have three. They all serve different purposes, one for piecing, one for quilting and a smaller one to take to classes.
I also have three irons! They all serve different purposes. My steam iron, my dry iron and a smaller one to take to classes!
Everyone knows that having the right tools and equipment makes the task so much more enjoyable! ❤️
When I cleaned my sewing room, I rediscovered two iron tote patterns, a large one and a small one. The pattern included the heat resistant fabric. I know most of my friends made their iron totes quite some time ago, probably shortly after they bought the pattern, but I finally made my two today!
When open, these become a portable ironing mat, with the heat resistant fabric on the inside. When folded up, it becomes a tote/storage container for your iron!
I made the little one for my mini Oliso iron and the larger one for my dry iron. I'm pretty happy with the results!! 😄
FUN sewing day!!
