Above is another quit I liked from the Houston Virtual Quilt Festival. The pandemic this year has been hard on everyone, some way more than others of course, but the main thing is we need to try to be kind and understanding of each other and do what we can to try keep ourselves and others safe. I am looking forward to the day when everyone can safely get the vaccine and I hope and pray it works in eliminating this virus so we can get back to whatever NORMAL is! I miss my quilting buddies!
I discovered that I'm a Queen-ager! Hmm... how should I be addressed? 🤔 Your Majesty? Your Royal Highness? (Maybe I've been watching too many Crown episodes 😂.
My friend Pam sent me this picture and said that she is not enjoying quilting this quilt and is never happy with her machine quilting. It reminded me of some advice I received years ago from a fellow quilter, Phyllis Davis, who has since passed on. She was a longarm quilter and one day I called her and whined about how I had ruined my quilt with my machine quilting. Her wise advice was to put the quilt away for a couple of weeks and she said when I pulled it out I would like it much better. She was right! When you first finish a quilt you know exactly where all of the mistakes are. After a couple of weeks, you forget there were any mistakes at all and .... yeah! You like it again - it's not so bad after all!
Wise advice from a wise quilting friend. ❤️
