Dorothy's Quilt

About five years ago I made this quilt for my friend Eileen.  She want me to recreate a much loved quilt she had been given when she and her husband got married, but was now showing signs of wear.  She picked out the fabric and sent me photos and measurements of the quilt and I went to work. I posted the final results here on my blog.  I began getting several requests for the pattern, so I did my best in writing out the pattern and instructions and emailed it to those who requested it.  Since then I have emailed this pattern to about 200 or more people, all over the world. Every once in awhile, someone sends me a picture of their finished quilt.  It always makes me so happy to receive a picture and see what someone has done with the pattern.  So, scroll down to see the most recent picture....

Dorothy just received the pattern in September and look at her beautiful quilt!!  She said she didn't want to tackle the appliqué so she chose a different pieced block to replace that block.  It looks fantastic!!  I love the quilting she did too.  Way to go Dorothy and thanks for sharing the picture with us!! 👏😊❤️
