Shock Wave

At the beginning of the year I pinned six quilts - I just finished quilting number five!  Woohoo!  Of course two of them were quite small, one was a larger wall hanging, and one baby quilt size, but still!  This one is throw size and the next one (#6) is larger.  By the way, how many times have you done what I did in the photo above?  Flip the edge over to the back and quilt it down, without realizing it ... until you do ...  and then have to pull out the seam ripper? 🤦🏻‍♀️

This quilt is called Shock Wave and it is a Ricky Tims pattern, made with his hand dyed fabric.  It may be because the fabric has been washed a lot, but it's really soft and I used a soft woven fabric on the back, recommended by Lorraine at Hi Fashion - so it's nice and soft too! I didn't do any ruler quilting, it's all free motion.

Are you watching All Creatures Great and Small on Masterpiece?  It's SO good.  I read the books years ago, my husband got me hooked on them, and we both are thoroughly enjoying the series.

They had a quiz on the website you could take to see which character you are most like.  I'm most like Mrs. Hall! You can't go wrong, all the characters are great! 😊

You can take the quiz here:

Let me know who you are most like!
