Quilting Embroidered Quilts

These two quilts that hung in the Meeker quilt show were both made by the same person and both quilted by the same (different) person.  They both feature hand embroidery, which we know takes a lot of time and skill, yet both were quilted very differently. The one above is "all-over" quilted, even through the embroidery, which, although the quilting is beautiful it kind of detracts from the hand embroidered blocks in my opinion.  The quilt below, also beautifully quilted, has less quilting in the embroidered blocks, so lets the hand embroidery shine a little bit more.  Just my opinion!  What do you think?? 😊
