I am slow getting pictures posted from our fun Sue Spargo Indigo Vases workshop! Above is another sample that Sue is working on.
Below is how our piece came to class, with the background pieced and layered and the vases attached (except the tops of the vases were left open to slide stems into). We had to do this "homework" ahead of time to prep for the workshop.
Sue taught us many ways to make stems. We then moved on to layering the vases, trying to keep the vases pretty monochromatic, knowing that we will add color with the flowers.
It was fun learning so many new techniques for making the flowers! I'm off to a good start, but still have a long way to go! I will share some pictures of other students' work in coming days. You will be inspired!
