Birmingham Quilt Festival

I do love handwork!  I have to clarify that the quilts I'm sharing the last few days and the next few days are pictures that I took at the Quilt Festival in Birmingham.  The reason I said the internet connects us as quilters these days is because the Millefiori quilt pattern was shared on the internet
https://www.katjasquiltshoppe.com/quilt-alongs/the-new-hexagon-millefiore-quilt-along/

I shared of picture of a Millefiori quilt made in England yesterday and I am working on one in the USA and who knows how many others are out there in many other countries? It's fun to see how different they all look because of the different fabrics used.

All of these circles are done in a feather stitch, over hand quilting!

These Quilt Nihon Exhibition quilts were part of a special exhibit in Birmingham.

This Bicolored Double Wedding Ring was made by Shoko Sakai.

"This work represents a depiction of abstract images of several ancient cathedrals and of a monument. St. Sophia Cathedral, The Golden Gates, St. Michael's Cathedral, St. Andrew's Church, Monument to the Founders of Kiev on the Dnieper River embankment."

Here is hubby at the quilt show :). He had some peace and quiet until lunch time - then he was mobbed.

We didn't just tour BBC sites.  Our next stop after Highclere Castle was Stonehenge, which was pretty awesome to see up close.  My photos make it seem as if there weren't a lot of people there - I had to be creative in my picture taking, because there were a lot of people there!  It was fun though!
