Chicago Day Two

On our first full day in Chicago we rented bikes and biked along Lake Michigan (which is SO huge, you can't even see the other side!). It was a beautiful day and we had a ton of fun!

Miss Cutie Pie got her face painted at the zoo.  We biked to the zoo, locked up the bikes
and walked around the zoo for a couple of hours - it's a free zoo!

Me with all of my kids in front of Buckingham Fountain.

Mike and Jonathan in front of the "Bean", which is such a cool
sculpture. It is officially called Cloud Gate:
"Cloud Gate is a public sculpture by Indian-born British artist Sir Anish Kapoor, that is the centerpiece of AT&T Plaza at Millennium Park in the Loop community area of Chicago."
"Cloud Gate was created by using computer technology to cut 168 massive stainless-steel plates into precise shapes which were then pieced together like a puzzle and welded shut."

Located near the Bean is Crown Fountain: " It is a popular subject for photographers and a common gathering place. While some of the videos displayed are of scenery, most attention has focused on its video clips of local residents. The fountain is a public play area and offers people an escape from summer heat, allowing children to frolic in the fountain's water."
We all visited these attractions on Saturday and they were packed with people enjoying them - such fun!

Part of the art of the Bean is the skyline in it's reflection - we had fun taking "selfies" in the reflection too, which I'll share later.

Another view of our hotel!
